Understanding the behaviors of traumatized children and your role in their healing.
I'm a mom of three daughters through adoption, a nurse and a professor. My greatest accomplishments have been helping my children overcome their early childhood adversaries. My nursing has afforded me access to healthcare resources, and being a professor the confidence to write and share the lessons I've learned.
The behaviors from children that come from a place of trauma can be devastating. Parents need your help so they can help their child. During a time of trauma informed learning, 14 families have come together to share their lived experiences and wisdom to help the health care community, education system, child welfare, and the adoption and foster care agencies better be able to support these families, and ultimately help their children heal.
"It quite literally serves as a how-to guide to help parents, whose children have experienced trauma, in some of their greatest times of need. This book will be another arrow in my therapeutic quiver.”
"Cat, you were amazing!! Seriously - you were so engaging and spoke so knowledgeably!! The students really enjoyed it and thought it was very applicable to their practice- and the other instructor also contacted me after as well to tell me how great you were!!
Thank you sooooo sooo much! I so appreciate it and was blown away by you as a speaker!
